• Businesses Urged to Take the ''Purple Pledge'' for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Northeast Georgia Council on Domestic Violence Launches “Purple Pledge” Campaign for National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October marks National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Northeast Georgia Council on Domestic Violence (NEGACDV) is taking action with its “Purple Pledge” campaign to promote awareness and encourage communities to take a stand against domestic violence. Throughout the month, NEGACDV will be visiting schools and businesses across Elbert, Franklin, and Hart Counties to raise awareness and engage the community in the fight to end domestic violence.

The “Purple Pledge” represents a commitment to living a life free of violence and helping to spread awareness. The color purple, which symbolizes domestic violence awareness, is central to the campaign. Participants who take the pledge will commit to the following oath:

"I pledge to do my part in helping to end domestic violence in my community. I pledge to live a life free of violence and to spread awareness."

NEGACDV invites schools, businesses, and community members to participate in the campaign. The organization will provide all necessary materials and offer participants the opportunity to be featured on their social media channels.

To schedule a visit and take part in the “Purple Pledge”, please contact NEGACDV at 706-377-4884. Together, we can raise awareness and make a difference.
