Strong Core Workshop
Our core muscles are so important for stability and good posture. A stronger core makes our potential for injury in everyday life less. However, so many people assume core = abs and crunches = strength. But nothing could be farther from the truth. If you experience chronic pain in your body, there’s a high possibility that the core muscles may not be strong or even firing properly. It's easy if we are at a part in our life to say, "You know, I don't care if I have a six pack or not". But did you know a strong core is important later in life as well? Stability is an important partner to mobility. A strong core lessens our risk of falling and improves our posture. (Hello less chronic body pain!) We use our core when we are putting on our shoes, bathing, sitting at our desks, doing housework, and more. A strong core is imperative for helping back pain. In this workshop, we will explore the many muscles and parts of our body that involve our core as well as various ways to activate and strengthen them. It is strongly recommended you bring a large yoga ball for some of these moves similar to this one. This has been a highly requested workshop, so please RSVP as soon as you can as it looks to fill up fast!
