Discover Hartwell Expands Regional Tourism Reach Through NEGMTA Marketing Co-op
December 23, 2024Hartwell, GA — Discover Hartwell, the tourism arm of the Hart County Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce its participation in the Northeast Georgia Mountains Travel Association (NEGMTA) marketing co-op campaign for 2025. This milestone achievement aligns with Discover Hartwell’s mission to drive economic vitality by attracting regional visitors and day-trippers to experience the unique charm of Hartwell and the surrounding area.
Over the past two years, Hart Chamber has worked to revitalize the Discover Hartwell initiative. These efforts have included the creation of a formal marketing plan, developed in May 2024 by Amanda Brown, who was at the time still serving as the Chamber’s Executive Assistant. The plan focuses on targeting key visitors within Georgia and neighboring states. A major element of this plan was to deepen engagement with NEGMTA and secure a coveted spot in its collaborative marketing program.
“We’ve been long-time members of NEGMTA, but joining the co-op campaign has taken our partnership to the next level,” said Amanda Brown, Hart Chamber Executive Director. “This opportunity allows us to amplify our reach and share the cost of impactful advertising with other DMOs, maximizing our return on investment.”
The 2025 campaign will showcase Hartwell alongside neighboring communities such as Toccoa and Habersham in an impressive array of advertising platforms, including:
- Newspaper features across 10 states
- Billboards in Atlanta and other strategic locations
- Prime-time advertising on Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) during flagship programs like Masterpiece’s All Creatures Great & Small, Miss Scarlet & The Duke, Nature, and NOVA
To kick off this effort, the co-op has secured a special holiday billboard in Orlando, Florida, which launches today. The placement is perfectly timed to capture the attention of holiday travelers heading north through Georgia after visiting Universal Studios and Disney theme parks during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.
“This billboard is an incredible opportunity to showcase Hartwell to thousands of potential visitors as they journey home,” Brown added. “We are excited for what this collaboration will bring, and we look forward to welcoming more travelers to Hartwell in 2025.”
Discover Hartwell invites everyone to explore all that Hartwell has to offer, from its serene lakes and vibrant downtown to its rich arts and entertainment scene. Together, with NEGMTA and neighboring communities, Discover Hartwell is set to make 2025 a banner year for tourism in Northeast Georgia.
