Purse Collection for 1st Annual Purse Auction.  We need your help.  Torch of Hartwell will be hosting a purse auction in September, 2017.  Currently, we are building our inventory and we need your help.  We are looking for gently used or new purses for our 1st annual purse auction.  Proceeds from this auction will benefit the Railroad Street Park Project.  So, tell your neighbors, clean out your closets and make a donation.  Please drop purses off at the Hart County Chamber of Commerce or call Kristin Joyner at 770-318-0946 or kristinjjoyner@gmail.com.

July 28 & 29, Hart County Humane Society Yard Sale at 1364 Reed Creek Hwy (previous location of Hartwell Animal Hospital).  Donations can be dropped off July 21 & 22 from 10 am to 2 pm and July 24 & 25 from 10 am to 2 pm & 4 pm to 6 pm.  No clothes or shoes.

August 12 & 13, Wet ‘n Wild Weekend, at Long Point Recreation Area (Old Hwy. 29), Hartwell. The Pro Watercross Racing Event runs from 10 am to 4 pm both days.  Come out to see Watercross racing’s biggest event before the finals.  Competitors come from all over the nation competing at speeds up to 90 miles per hour.  Freestyle stunt shows every day at noon.. Hang out with the racers and get autographs. August 16, Wednesday, Everyday Hero Information Session from 8:45 am – 10:30 am at the Northeast Georgia CASA office, 11 N. Sage St., Toccoa.  Come find out what being a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in foster care is all about.  You will have a brief courtroom experience then enjoy a light breakfast while we share details about our mission.  There is no cost to attend; however, we would like a head count.  For more information, call 706-886-1098.
