Purse Collection for 1st Annual Purse Auction.  We need your help.  Torch of Hartwell will be hosting a purse auction in September, 2017.  Currently, we are building our inventory and we need your help.  We are looking for gently used or new purses for our 1st annual purse auction.  Proceeds from this auction will benefit the Railroad Street Park Project.  So, tell your neighbors, clean out your closets and make a donation.  Please drop purses off at the Hart County Chamber of Commerce or call Kristin Joyner at 770-318-0946 or kristinjjoyner@gmail.com.

June 14, Wednesday, Official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at 8:30 am at the Hartwell Animal Hospital, 60 Leard St., Hartwell (corner of Leard St. & Reed Creek Hwy.).  Please join us as we welcome Hartwell Animal Hospital to their new facility. 

June 14, Wednesday, Flag Disposal Ceremony at 10:00 am behind the First Presbyterian Church.  All veterans and patriotic citizens invited.  This is the proper dignified way to dispose of the American flag that is no longer serviceable.  For more information, call 678-895-6554.

June 22, Thursday, Randstad Job Fair from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Hart County Chamber of Commerce, 31 E. Howell St., Hartwell.  Bring resume, photo ID and dress for an interview. They are staffing for locations in Hartwell, Royston, Lavonia and Toccoa. The positions they have open are: welding, machine operating, assembly, forklift, material handling, customer service representative, shipping and receiving, CNC operators and maintenance mechanic. Pay rates range from $10.50 -$15.00; maintneance mechanic from $18-$25/hour.

June 24, Saturday, 41st Annual Pre-Fourth Craft Festival in Downtown Hartwell from 8:30 am- 2:30 pm. June 27, Tuesday, 2017 Annual Membership Meeting of The Hart Regional Arts Council at 7:00 pm at The Art Center, 338 E. Howell St., Hartwell.  Both President’s and Treasurer’s reports, election of three new board members and updates on current projects are on the agenda.  Members, help us meet our goals and accomplish our mission of supporting and encouraging the arts in our community and region.   

June 29, Thursday, Ladies Night Out at 6:30 pm at the Bowersville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 980 W.
