Wednesdays, 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month, 9 am – 11 am.  Hartwell Mops & More at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy., Hartwell.  We welcome all moms with children for community and friendship.  Email MopsofHartwell@gmail.com or call 706-436-5588 for more information.  We are also seeking volunteers for our Nursery and Preschool rooms to provide loving, safe and appropriate care for children.  Volunteers need to be 16 years or older and complete a background check to apply.

Wednesdays, 4th Wednesday of every month, What’s Up Wednesday.  Chamber members are meeting the 4th Wednesday of every month for a networking lunch to help build relationships and leads among chamber members.  We will mix up attendees at tables to give everyone an opportunity to network and meet new people.  Each attendee will also have one minute to introduce themselves and tell about their business.  Attendees are responsible for the cost of their lunch. July 20, Friday, Bow-Wow Meow bingo from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Casa Grande, 392 Franklin St., Hartwell.   A fundraiser for the Hart County Humane Society.  $15/person includes:  buffet lunch, drink, tip & 1 bingo card.  Additional bingo cards-$1 each.  Prizes for all games.  Big prize for the last blackout game.

August 9, Thursday, An Exhibit Among Friends at The Art Center, 338 E. Howell St., Hartwell.  This exhibit features Wyn Foland and a circle of artists who work together and nourish each other’s creativity.

August 11-12, Wet ‘n Wild Weekend, at Long Point Recreation Area (Old Hwy. 29), Hartwell. The Pro Watercross Racing Event runs from 10 am to 4 pm both days.  Come out to see Watercross racing’s biggest event before the finals.  Competitors come from all over the nation competing at speeds up to 90 miles per hour.  Freestyle stunt shows every day at noon.. Hang out with the racers and get autographs. December 9, Sunday, Christmas Parade at 4:00 pm.  Line up starts at 3:00 pm at the corner of Athens St. and Hwy. 51 in the Bells Shopping Center.  Best overall interpretation of the parade theme wins $100 in Our Town Gift Certificates.  Parade route goes down Franklin St. to the Middle School.  Registration for participants is $15.00.  Deadline for registration is December 9th at noon.    Call, email or come by the Chamber office for more information.
